Enjoy cross-country skiing from two close by locations; Larch Hills Ski Area
and Skmana Cross Country Ski Area. Larch Hills Ski Area is only 20 km from Salmon Arm and Skmana Cross Country Ski Area is
just 14 km from Chase.
A Rover’s Rest Bed & Breakfast is situated in a central location, just a short drive from
either area,
making it a great setting for your Shuswap Nordic Ski Getaway.
Larch Hills Ski Area offers 125
km of ski area and of that about 40 km of picturesque track set trails. A
heated chalet welcomes you at the parking lot and a cabin can be found only 6 km up
the trail.
Skmana Cross Country Ski Area is located at Skmana Lake. There is 15
km of
scenic groomed and track set trails. For the novice there is a very easy 4.5 km trail
around the lake. A warming hut can be found about 500 meters from the parking
lot where firewood is readily available.
